There were only 13 Hatteras 65 foot Long Range Cruisers made in the early to mid 1980's. Since then two have been destroyed leaving only 11 in existence. Cleanie Dini has been tasked with refitting this boat and brining it back to life after years of neglect. Sometimes boats do die, but while on Cleanie Dini life support this boat will get a breath of new life and another chance to find an owner who can appreciate this unique vessel.
With almost two months behind us we are very much behind schedule. The boat has been covered with shrink wrap and gutted with the exception of the built in furniture .The boat is empty and dry but with the windows out and no furniture Team Cleanie is facing the daunting task of tracking down over 20 years of maintenance issues. Before we can even think about making this boat a yacht we first need to make sure all the systems are dead on reliable and up to date where nessesary.

Currently with about a month into the project the boat has been thoroughly cleaned, covered and dried out. All the woodwork has been cleaned and treated. The heads have been torn apart. Large leaks have been found and we are about ready to turn the corner on this boat.
